Ingredients/Components
- salt
- water - 1 c
- paprika - 1/2 tsp
- chili powder
- ground beef - 1 lb
- onion, chopped - 3/4 c
- fat - 2 Tbsp
- celery, chopped
- green pepper - 2 Tbsp
- canned tomatoes
- clove, chopped - 1/2 item
- 1/2 cans kidney beans - 2 item
How to make chili con carne:
Melt fat in 4-quart pot, using medium heat. Add ground beef and stir frequently to break up lumps of meat. Add seasonings and blend. Add vegetables and water. Cover and simmer slowly for 1 hour. Serves 6 to 8.Recipe categories: Main dish, Beef, Chili.
