Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
- paprika - 1 tsp
- chili powder - 2 tsp
- sage - 1/4 tsp
- oregano - 1 tsp
- lean ground beef - 1 lb
- cloves garlic, chopped - 2 item
- large onion, chopped - 1 item
- can tomatoes - 1 oz
- can kidney beans - 1 oz
- powdered milk - 1/4 c
- jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped optional - 1 item
- cumin ground comino seed - 1 tsp
- water or beer
How to make chili:
Brown meat lightly. Add onion, garlic and spices and finish browning. Add tomatoes, water or beer and powdered milk and cook a minimum of 3 hours over low heat, stirring frequently. Add beans 1 hour before serving.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, One Dish meal, Chili.
