Chicken continental
Ingredients/Components
- butter or margarine - 1/4 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- water
- can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- grated onion
- Minute rice
- chopped parsley - 1 Tbsp
- thyme - 1/8 tsp
- seasoned flour - 1/3 c
- about frying chicken, cut up - 3 lb
How to make chicken continental:
Roll chicken in flour; brown in butter. Remove chicken; stir soup, seasonings and water into drippings. (I drain some first.) Cook and stir to a boil. Spread rice (uncooked) in 1 1/2-quart shallow casserole. Pour all but 1/3 cup of soup mixture over rice; stir to moisten. Top with chicken and rest of soup mixture. Bake, covered, at 375° for 30 minutes or until chicken is tender. Makes 4 servings.Recipe categories: Main dish, Poultry, One Dish meal.
