Ingredients/Components
- milk
- salt - 1 tsp
- can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
- medium noodles - 12 oz
- diced celery - 1 c
- slivered almonds - 2/3 c
- diced chicken - 2 c
- pimento - 1/4 c
- buttered bread crumbs - 1 item
- diced bell pepper - 1/4 c
- shredded Velveeta - 1 c
How to make chicken casserole:
Cook noodles until tender, drain and place in 9 x 13-inch dish. Mix soup, milk and salt; heat. Add cheese and stir until melted. Add remaining ingredients, except 1/3 cup almonds and bread crumbs. Pour over noodles and then top with crumbs and nuts. Bake at 350°, covered, for 10 minutes. Then remove cover and bake for 20 minutes more.Recipe categories: Main dish, Casseroles, Chicken breast.
