Ingredients/Components
- garlic powder - 1/8 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/4 c
- chopped carrots - 1/2 c
- bay leaf - 1 item
- black pepper - 1/4 tsp
- oregano leaves - 1/8 tsp
- large chicken breasts - 2 item
- water add water when needed - 4 c
How to make chicken broth:
In a large pot, combine all ingredients. Cook for 2 hours. Remove chicken and strain broth; chill. Discard fat from broth. Broth can be frozen. Use to cook potatoes, vegetables, cornbread dressing, dumplings or gravy. Refrigerate no more than 2 days.
