  • baking soda - 1/2 tsp

  • all-purpose flour - 1 c

  • light brown sugar

  • Quaker oats - 3 c
  • coarsely chopped walnuts - 1 c
  • butter flavor Crisco or shortening - 3/4 c

Heat oven to 375°. Lightly grease baking sheet with Crisco. Combine shortening, brown sugar, egg, milk and vanilla in a large bowl. Beat at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended. Combine oats, flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon. Mix
