Ingredients/Components

• eggs - 3 item
• pkg - 1 oz
• stick butter, melted - 1 item
• box powdered sugar - 1 item
• box Duncan Hines yellow cake mix - 1 item

How to make chess squares:

Mix cake mix, 1 egg and melted butter; pat in bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan. Beat cream cheese, 2 eggs and box of powdered sugar until smooth. Pour over crust. Bake at 300° for 50 to 60 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Oooie-Gooie Variation: Between cake mix layer and cream cheese layer, add a layer of pecan pieces and/or chocolate chips. You can put pecan pieces on half and chocolate chips on the other or just mix.
