Cherry streusel coffee cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 1 c
- water - 1 Tbsp
- melted butter - 5 Tbsp
- corn syrup - 1 Tbsp
- powdered sugar
- warm water - 2/3 c
- yellow cake mix - 1 pkg
- 5 oz - 1 lb
- dry yeast - 1 pkg
How to make cherry streusel coffee cake:
Glaze:1 c. powdered sugar1 Tbsp. corn syrup1 Tbsp. water1/2 tsp. vanilla In a large bowl, put in 1 1/2 cups dry cake mix (reserve remainder for topping), yeast, flour, eggs and water. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed. Spread dough in greased 13 x 9-inch baking dish. Set aside.In saucepan, combine unused cake mix with melted butter to make topping. Mixture will be crumbly; set aside. Spoon pie filling evenly over dough in pan. Sprinkle sugar and then topping over filling. Bake at 375° for 30 minutes. Frost with glaze.
Glaze: Combine ingredients and drizzle over warm cake.
