  • sugar - 2 Tbsp
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 1 c
  • water - 1 Tbsp
  • melted butter - 5 Tbsp
  • corn syrup - 1 Tbsp
  • powdered sugar
  • warm water - 2/3 c
  • yellow cake mix - 1 pkg
  • 5 oz - 1 lb
  • dry yeast - 1 pkg

How to make cherry streusel coffee cake:

Glaze:1 c. powdered sugar1 Tbsp. corn syrup1 Tbsp. water1/2 tsp. vanilla In a large bowl, put in 1 1/2 cups dry cake mix (reserve remainder for topping), yeast, flour, eggs and water. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed. Spread dough in greased 13 x 9-inch baking dish. Set aside.

In saucepan, combine unused cake mix with melted butter to make topping. Mixture will be crumbly; set aside. Spoon pie filling evenly over dough in pan. Sprinkle sugar and then topping over filling. Bake at 375° for 30 minutes. Frost with glaze.

Glaze: Combine ingredients and drizzle over warm cake.
