Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- sour cream - 1 c
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- flour - 2 c
- eggs, separated - 2 item
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- softened butter - 1 c
- small bottle maraschino cherries - 1 item
How to make cherry nut loaf:
Drain cherries, reserving juice. Cream butter and sugar; add egg yolks, sour cream and reserved juice. Sift together flour, baking powder and baking soda and add to creamed mixture and mix well. Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into batter. Add cherries and nuts. Bake in 350° oven for 45 minutes in 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.Recipe categories: Desserts, < 15 mins, Time to make.
