Cheesy squash casserole
Ingredients/Components
- sour cream - 1 (8
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- eggs, separated - 2 item
- shredded Cheddar cheese
- stick butter or margarine - 1 item
- slices bacon, cooked, drained and crumbled - 8 item
- or 3 slices bread - 2 item
- yellow squash about 7 squash
How to make cheesy squash casserole:
Boil squash in salt water until very tender and cool. Beat eggs until thick. Add sour cream and flour. Add cheese, squash and bacon. Mix well. Place in casserole dish or large iron skillet. Melt butter and combine bread crumbs with it. Sprinkle over top of squash. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.Recipe categories: Side dish, Cheese, Onions.
