Ingredients/Components
- butter or margarine - 2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- plain flour - 4 c
- red pepper - 1/2 tsp
- sharp cheese - 1 lb
How to make cheese straws:
Grate cheese; add margarine at room temperature. Cream in mixer to consistency of shortening for cake. Gradually add flour, salt and pepper. Use star plate or cookie press to shape. Bake at 350° for 10 to 15 minutes.Recipe categories: Eggs/dairy, < 15 mins, Cheese.
