Ingredients/Components
- ground beef - 1 lb
- butter - 1/4 c
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- pepperoni - 1 pkg
- small can mushrooms, drained - 1 item
- small jar pepperocini peppers seed pods removed - 1 item
- Mozzarella cheese - 1 c
- Parmesan cheese, grated - 1/4 c
- can spaghetti sauce meat flavored - 1 item
- assorted noodles shells, macaroni, egg noodles, cooked - 4 c
How to make cavatini:
Melt butter in a heavy skillet; add chopped onion and cook until tender. Add ground beef and brown. Drain off excess fat. In a large buttered casserole dish, add meat mixture, pepperoni, drained mushrooms, pepperocini peppers, spaghetti sauce, 3/4 cup Mozzarella cheese and noodles. Mix thoroughly. Top with 1/4 cup Mozzarella cheese and bake for 30 minutes at 350°. Yield: 8 servings.Recipe categories: Pasta, Main dish, Beef.
