Caramel walnut bars
Ingredients/Components
- flour - 2 c
- brown sugar - 3/4 c
- oleo - 1/4 c
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- walnuts - 3/4 c
How to make caramel walnut bars:
Preheat oven to 350°. Mix flour, sugar, egg and oleo to crumbs. Add walnuts. Reserve 2 cups of crumbs; press remaining mixture in a 9 x 13-inch greased pan. Bake 15 minutes. In a saucepan, melt 24 Kraft caramels and 1/4 cup oleo and a 14 ounce can sweetened condensed Eagle Brand milk. Pour over baked crust; top with remaining crumbs. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until beginning to bubble. Cool, cut and store loosely covered at room temperature.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cookie and brownie, Bar cookie.
