Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 Tbsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- heavy cream - 1 qt
- milk, divided - 1/2 gal
- sugar, divided - 3 c
- to 10 eggs, beaten lightly - 6 item
How to make caramel ice cream:
Heat 1 cup milk. Melt 1 cup sugar until light brown color. Add hot milk and stir until sugar is dissolved. Beat the eggs; add remaining milk, sugar and salt. Add to cooked mixture and cook until eggs are done. Cool mixture; add vanilla and thick cream. Finish filling can with milk or cream.
