Caramel crunch apple pie
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/3 c
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 3/4 c
- water - 2 Tbsp
- chopped walnuts - 1/2 c
- margarine - 1/3 c
- caramels - 24 item
- sliced peeled apples - 4 c
- 9-inch crust - 1 item
How to make caramel crunch apple pie:
Heat oven to 375°. Place crust in 9-inch pie plate. Turn under edge and flute. Melt caramels with water in heavy saucepan over low heat, stirring frequently until smooth. Spoon apples into crust; top with caramel sauce. Mix flour, sugar and cinnamon; cut in margarine until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in walnuts. Sprinkle over apples.
