Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- brown sugar - 1/4 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- egg yolks - 2 item
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- cake flour
- almond flavoring - 1/2 tsp
- finely chopped nuts almonds - 1 item
- Add egg yolks, one at a time and beat
How to make caramel cookies:
Cream together butter and sugar. Add egg yolks, one at a time and beat. Add flavoring, cake flour, baking powder and salt. Press with hands in pan, 6 x 10-inch about 1/2-inch thick. Spread over finely chopped nuts (almonds).Meringue:2 egg whites, beaten very stiff1/4 c. brown sugar Beat egg whites stiff, then add brown sugar and beat, beat, beat.
