  • sugar - 1 c
  • vanilla - 2 tsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour
  • brown sugar - 1/2 c
  • baking soda - 1/2 tsp
  • shortening - 1 c
  • beaten eggs - 3 item

How to make caramel cookies:

Cream shortening and sugar well. Add eggs and vanilla. Add dry ingredients to shortening mixture and mix well. Chill. Roll out 1/4-inch thick. Cut into shapes. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes.
