Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- soda - 2 tsp
- heavy cream - 1/4 c
- finely chopped apples - 6 item
- oleo - 1/2 c
- white sugar - 1/2 c
- chopped nuts pecan or black walnuts - 1/2 c
How to make caramel apple cake:
Caramel Sauce:1/4 c. oleo1/4 c. heavy cream1/2 c. white sugar1/2 c. brown sugar1/4 tsp. vanilla For Cake: Cream sugar and oleo together, then add eggs to stir. Add finely chopped apples to egg mixture. Sift dry ingredients and add to the mixture. Add nuts. Bake at 350° for about 45 minutes or more using an oblong pan.For Sauce: Heat all sauce ingredients, but vanilla. Simmer until slightly thickened. Add vanilla. Stir and serve hot over cake.
