  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • eggs - 2 item
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • flour
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • butter
  • coconut - 1/2 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • boiling water
  • Crisco - 1/2 c
  • pecans - 1/2 c
  • oatmeal - 1 c
  • white sugar - 1 c
  • Eagle Brand milk - 1/4 c

How to make oatmeal cake:

Frosting:4 Tbsp. butter1/4 c. Eagle Brand milk3/4 c. brown sugar1/2 c. coconut1/2 c. pecans For Cake: Add oatmeal to boiling water and set for 20 minutes. Cream sugars, Crisco and eggs. Add oatmeal mixture, then add flour, soda, salt and cinnamon. Bake in 8 x 12-inch pan at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.

For Frosting: Melt butter. Stir in rest of ingredients. Spread on warm cake.
