Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour
- brown sugar - 1 c
- butter
- coconut - 1/2 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- boiling water
- Crisco - 1/2 c
- pecans - 1/2 c
- oatmeal - 1 c
- white sugar - 1 c
- Eagle Brand milk - 1/4 c
How to make oatmeal cake:
Frosting:4 Tbsp. butter1/4 c. Eagle Brand milk3/4 c. brown sugar1/2 c. coconut1/2 c. pecans For Cake: Add oatmeal to boiling water and set for 20 minutes. Cream sugars, Crisco and eggs. Add oatmeal mixture, then add flour, soda, salt and cinnamon. Bake in 8 x 12-inch pan at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.For Frosting: Melt butter. Stir in rest of ingredients. Spread on warm cake.
