Candy popcorn
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2/3 c
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- margarine - 1/2 c
- nuts optional - 1 item
- cream of tartar - 1/8 tsp
- hot water - 1/2 c
- white Karo syrup - 1/4 c
- cane sugar - 2 c
How to make candy popcorn:
Bring sugar, water and cream of tartar to boil, covered. Boil 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add margarine and baking soda. Pour over popcorn and stir thoroughly. Must be cane sugar or it will just crumble up and not stick to the popcorn.Recipe categories: Desserts, Candy, Gluten Free.
