Strawberry delight
Ingredients/Components
- stick oleo - 1 item
- flour - 1 c
- chopped nuts
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- Melt oleo in a 9 x 13-inch pan
- powdered sugar - 1 c
- Cool Whip
- Fold in 1/2 of Cool Whip
- small box wild strawberry Jell-O - 1 item
- cornstarch - 3 Tbsp
- water - 3/4 c
How to make strawberry delight:
Save some nuts for garnish. Melt oleo in a 9 x 13-inch pan. Add flour, nuts and sugar. Mix well. Pat firmly and bake 15 minutes at 350°. Let cool.2nd Layer:1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese1 c. powdered sugar13 1/2 oz. Cool Whip Beat cheese and sugar until smooth. Fold in 1/2 of Cool Whip. Spread over 1st layer.3rd Layer:1 qt. sliced and sweetened strawberries1 small box wild strawberry Jell-O3 Tbsp. cornstarch3/4 c. water Drain juice from berries into saucepan. Dissolve into water. Bring juice to boil; stir in water and cornstarch. Cook until thickens. Remove from heat; add dry jello. Stir until dissolved. Add berries to cooked mixture. Cool, then spread on second layer.4th Layer: Top with rest of Cool Whip. Sprinkle with nuts. Chill.
