Cajun cornbread
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
- chopped onion - 1 c
- grated cheese - 1 lb
- can corn whole kernel - 1 oz
- hot sausage, cooked - 1 lb
- corn meal yellow plain - 1 c
- can Ro-Tel tomatoes and green chilies, well mashed - 1 item
How to make cajun cornbread:
Drain grease from sausage. Mix all ingredients. Grease 9 x 12-inch pan generously. Pour mixture into pan. Bake at 350° for one hour. Cut into squares and serve.Variation: Add jalapeno peppers to taste.
