Caesar salad
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- beaten egg - 1 item
- lemon juice - 1/4 c
- salad oil - 1/2 c
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 Tbsp
- grated Parmesan cheese - 1/2 c
- clove garlic - 1 item
- croutons - 1 c
- ripe olives - 1 item
- head lettuce - 1/2 item
- can anchovy fillets - 1 oz
- or 4 tomatoes, diced - 3 item
- bunch curly endive - 1/2 item
How to make caesar salad:
Mash garlic; add to salad oil. Break lettuce in salad bowl; tear endive. Add croutons, anchovy and tomatoes. Strain oil to remove garlic; pour over vegetables. Combine remaining ingredients; beat well. Pour over salad; toss lightly. Garnish with ripe olives. Serves 4 to 6.Recipe categories: < 15 mins, Time to make, 3 steps or less.
