Cabbage slaw
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 2/3 c
- lemon juice - 1/4 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- cabbage, shredded - 2 c
- carrots, shredded - 2 c
- horseradish optional - 3 Tbsp
- celery, shredded - 2 c
How to make cabbage slaw:
Boil sugar, water, lemon juice, salt and pepper until sugar is dissolved. Cool 20 minutes and pour over cabbage, carrots and celery. Store in refrigerator in covered bowl. Keeps crisp for several days.Recipe categories: Condiments, etc., Side dish, Garnishes.
