Ingredients/Components

  • tbsp milk - 2 item
  • tbsp butter or margarine - 1 item
  • medium head cabbage, shredded about 8 cups - 1 item
  • can 10 3/4 oz condensed cream of celery soup, undiluted - 1 item
  • C shredded processed American cheese - 1 item
  • C soft bread crumbs - 1 item

How to make cabbage au gratin:

In a large covered saucepan, cook cabbage in boiling salted water for 5 minutes, drain.

Place cabbage in a greased 8 inch square baking dish. In a small sauce, blend soup and milk, heat well. Add cheese and stir until melted.

Pour over cabbage. Saut?© bread crumbs in butter until golden, sprinkle over cabbage. Bake at 350 degrees 15-20 minutes or until hot.

8-10 servings.
