Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 2 c
  • eggs - 5 item
  • vanilla - 1/2 tsp
  • milk - 1 c
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • chopped nuts - 1/2 c
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • Crisco - 1/2 c
  • stick margarine or butter - 1 item
  • maple flavoring - 1/2 tsp
  • butterscotch morsels, melted - 12 oz

How to make butterscotch pound cake:

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, blending well after each addition. Sift together dry ingredients. Add alternately with milk, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Add flavoring, nuts and morsels. Bake 1 1/2 hours at 325°.
