- sugar - 2 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk
- flour - 1/3 c
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- egg yolks - 2 item
- dash of salt - 1 item
- cream of tartar - 1/4 tsp
- brown sugar, packed
- Topping:2 egg whites
How to make butterscotch pie:
Topping:2 egg whites2 tsp. sugar1/4 tsp. cream of tartar Mix brown sugar and flour using 2 egg yolks. Add salt, then stir in milk. Cook until thick. Remove from stove. Add vanilla. Pour into baked pie shell. Beat 2 egg whites with sugar and cream of tartar. Beat until stiff and spread on pie. Bake at 350° until top is brown.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
