Ingredients/Components
- brown sugar - 2 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- water
- vinegar - 1 Tbsp
- molasses - 1/4 c
How to make butterscotch:
Boil sugar, molasses, vinegar and water together for 2 minutes, then add the butter and keep on boiling, without stirring, until mixture becomes brittle when tried in cold water. Pour into a buttered pan; when nearly cool, cut with a sharp knife.Recipe categories: Desserts, Candy, Sweet.
