Buttermilk pecan pie
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 3 item
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour
- butter - 1/2 c
- buttermilk - 1 c
- white sugar - 2 c
- pecan halves, chopped up - 1 c
How to make buttermilk pecan pie:
Cream the butter and sugar, adding sugar 1/2 cup at a time. Add eggs, stirring them in one at a time. Combine flour and salt, then add to mixture. Stir in buttermilk, then pecans. Mixture will be thin. Pour into unbaked pie shell and bake at 300° for 1 1/2 hours, until dark golden brown. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
