  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 4 c
  • soda
  • buttermilk - 2 c
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • shortening - 3/4 c

How to make buttermilk cake:

Part 2:1 tsp. soda1 tsp. cinnamon2 c. buttermilk Mix Part 1 and save 1/2 cup for top of cake, then add Part 2 ingredients to remaining of Part 1. Pour in loaf pan. Sprinkle crumbs over batter. Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes, until done.
