Fresh apple cake

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 2 c
• cinnamon - 2 tsp
• eggs - 2 item
• chopped pecans
• salt - 1/2 tsp
• flour - 3 c
• nutmeg - 2 tsp
• soda - 2 tsp
• buttermilk - 1 c
• baking powder - 2 tsp
• shortening - 1 c
• allspice - 2 tsp
• fresh apples, grated - 3 c

How to make fresh apple cake:

Sift dry ingredients. Cream sugar, shortening and eggs. Add alternately flour mixture and buttermilk to creamed mixture, adding the flour at the first and last. Fold in fresh apples. Bake in a greased and floured tube pan at 350° for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until done.
