Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/3 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 4 c
- lukewarm water - 1 yeast,
- well beaten eggs - 3 item
- soft margarine or Crisco - 3/4 c
How to make butterhorns:
Add sugar and beaten eggs to yeast. Sift flour and salt. Mix with soft margarine or Crisco and add to first mixture. Beat one minute. Dough will be soft. Place in mixing bowl and let rise in refrigerator overnight.You may either roll out as much as you need, cut into triangles and roll up, or pinch off small bits the size of walnuts. Place 3 balls in each muffin tin space. Let rise 1 hour or until double in size. Bake 10 minutes at 450°.
