Butterball cookies
Ingredients/Components
- sifted flour - 2 c
- butter or margarine - 1 c
- sugar - 1/4 c
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- finely chopped nuts
- whole pecans - 1 item
- powdered sugar - 1 item
How to make butterball cookies:
Sift flour; measure. Sift again with sugar and salt into mixing bowl. Add butter and vanilla. Blend with pastry blender. Add 2 cups of nuts. Shape half of the dough into 1/2-inch balls. Roll in nuts or flatten the balls; press pecan in top. Bake in a 350° oven for 15 to 20 minutes. Roll remaining dough into logs; bake. Roll in powdered sugar.
