Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour
- cocoa - 1/2 3/4
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- chocolate chips - 2 c
- nuts, chopped - 1/2 c
- melted butter or margarine - 2/3 c
- boiling water measure accurately - 1/2 c
How to make brownies:
Stir cocoa and baking soda in mixing bowl. Blend in 1/3 cup melted butter. Add boiling water; stir until mixture thickens. Stir in sugar, eggs and remaining 1/3 cup melted butter; stir until smooth. Add flour, vanilla and salt; blend completely. Stir in chips and nuts. Pour into lightly greased 13 x 9-inch baking pan. Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes. Cool completely; cut into bars.
