  • cup 1 1/2 sticks butter or margarine - 3/4 item
  • cups sugar - 2 item
  • eggs - 3 item
  • teaspoon vanilla - 1 item
  • cup flour - 1 item
  • cup coarsely chopped nuts optional - 1 item

How to make one bowl brownies:

Line a 13 X 9 inch baking pan with foil extending over edges to form handles. Grease foil. Heat oven to 350° (325° for glass baking dish).

Microwave chocolate and butter in microwavable bowl on HIGH 2 minutes or until butter is melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Stir sugar into chocolate until blended. Mix in eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour and nuts. Spread batter in pan.

Bake for 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out with fudgy crumbs. DO NOT OVERBAKE. Cool in pan. Lift from pan using foil as handles. Cut into squares or into decorative shapes with cookie cutters.
