Brown sugar pound cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- vanilla - 2 Tbsp
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- milk - 1 c
- brown sugar - 16 oz
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
- large eggs - 5 item
- plain flour - 3 c
- softened butter - 1 c
- 10x sugar
How to make brown sugar pound cake:
Cream butter and sugar. Add sugars. Add eggs, one at a time. Sift flour and baking powder together. Add flour mixture and milk alternately. Stir in vanilla and pecans. Pour into greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.Bake at 350° for 1 hour and 10 minutes. Dust cooled cake with 10x sugar.
