Broiled scallops
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- vegetable oil - 1 Tbsp
- butter or oleo - 1 Tbsp
- paprika - 1 item
- minced parsley - 2 Tbsp
- clove garlic, crushed - 1 item
- soft breadcrumbs - 1/2 c
- fresh bay scallops - 1 lb
How to make broiled scallops:
Combine first five ingredients in a bowl. Add scallops; cover and chill. Spoon scallop mixture into 4 individual baking shells. Place shells on a baking sheet. Broil 2 inches from heat for 3 minutes; stir and broil 2 minutes. Combine butter and breadcrumbs; sprinkle over scallops and broil 1 minute or until browned. Sprinkle with paprika. Yield: 4 servings.Note: If desired, sea scallops, quartered, may be substituted for the bay scallops. Serve over rice or angel hair pasta.
