Breakfast casserole
Ingredients/Components
- milk
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- eggs, beaten - 6 item
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- shredded Cheddar cheese - 3/4 lb
- slices sandwich bread - 12 item
- dash of seasoned salt - 1 item
- dash of dry mustard - 1 item
- chopped parsley as garnish - 1 item
How to make breakfast casserole:
Trim crusts from bread and cut into cubes. Beat eggs and milk; add seasonings. Lightly butter a 2 quart casserole dish. Line bottom with one half of the bread cubes and sprinkle with 1/3 of the cheese. Repeat cheese and bread layers, then pour milk and egg mixture over all.Bake at 350° for 50 minutes. Remove from oven. Top with remaining cheese and sprinkle with parsley. Return to oven and bake 10 minutes more. Serves 8.
