  • sugar - 3 Tbsp
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1/2 tsp
  • milk
  • pinch of salt - 1 item
  • or more slices of day old bread, torn into small pieces - 3 item

How to make bread pudding:

In mixing bowl beat together milk, eggs, salt and vanilla. Stir in bread pieces. Pour mixture into 1-quart baking dish, greased. Sprinkle nutmeg on top. Put 1-inch of hot water in larger pan. Set filled baking dish in it. Bake 1 hour at 350°. Serve hot or cold.
