  • eggs - 5 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk
  • flour - 3 c
  • cocoa - 1/2 c
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • pinch of salt - 1 item
  • Crisco - 1/2 c
  • sticks butter - 2 item

How to make chocolate pound cake:

Sift together flour, salt, baking powder and cocoa. Cream sugar, butter and Crisco. Add vanilla and beat 1 minute. Add eggs one at a time and beat 1 minute after each. Fold in dry ingredients alternately with milk. Bake at 350° for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
