Blueberry sauce
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- boiling water - 1 c
- lemon juice - 3 Tbsp
- blueberries - 2 c
How to make blueberry sauce:
In saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch and nutmeg. Gradually stir in boiling water. Cook and stir until mixture thickens and boils. Cook 2 minutes more. Add fresh blueberries; return to boiling. Remove from heat. Stir in lemon juice; cool. Makes 3 cups. Serve over pancakes or ice cream. May be doubled.Recipe categories: Desserts, Sweet sauces, Sauces.
