Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- flour - 3 c
- eggs, separated - 4 item
- soda - 1 tsp
- shortening - 1 c
- cream of tartar - 1 tsp
- cold water plus 4 Tbsp - 1 c
How to make black walnut cake:
Cream yolks with sugar. Beat egg whites and fold in with other ingredients. Add sugar and yolks (creamed). Add 1 cup ground walnuts. Bake in greased and floured 9 x 12 pan. Bake at 325° for 60 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Breads.
