  • sugar - 1/3 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • pkg - 1 oz
  • salt - 1/8 tsp
  • flour
  • water - 1 c
  • cocoa - 1/4 c
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • chocolate chips - 1 c
  • vinegar - 1 Tbsp
  • cooking oil - 1/3 c
  • unbeaten egg - 1 item

How to make black bottom cups:

Beat together first 4 ingredients. Stir in chocolate chips. Sift together following ingredients: flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Add water, oil, vinegar and vanilla. Beat until well combined. Fill muffin cup 1/3 full with chocolate batter. Top each one with heaping teaspoonful cream cheese mixture. Sprinkle with sugar and chopped nuts. Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes. Makes 2 dozen.
