Beef stroganoff
Ingredients/Components
- sour cream - 1 pt
- flour - 1 Tbsp
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- tomato paste - 1 Tbsp
- onion, finely chopped - 1 item
- sliced mushrooms - 1/2 lb
- olive or cooking oil - 3 Tbsp
- round steak, cut 1/4-inch thick - 2 lb
- sherry or beef broth - 1/2 c
How to make beef stroganoff:
Cut steak into 1/4 x 1-inch pieces. Brown meat in oil. Push meat to one side. Saute onion and mushrooms. Mix with meat. Stir in tomato paste. Sprinkle flour over all and blend well. Add sherry or broth. Stir to gravy consistency. Season to tasRecipe categories: Main dish, Meat, Beef.
