Beef stroganoff
Ingredients/Components
- water - 2/3 c
- dairy sour cream - 1 c
- envelope onion soup mix - 1 item
- can 2/3 c - 1 oz
- enriched flour - 2 Tbsp
- buttered noodles - 1 item
- round steak 1/4 to 1/2-inch thick - 1 lb
How to make beef stroganoff:
Trim fat. Heat 3 tablespoons oil in skillet. Brown meat quickly. Add water and mushrooms (liquid, too). Stir in soup mix; cook until meat is tender. Blend flour into sour cream and add to meat mixture. Stir until sauce thickens, but not to boiling. Serve over buttered noodles.This can be made ahead except for the sour cream and frozen. Great company dinner with salad and vegies.
