Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 Tbsp
- water - 2 c
- oil - 2 Tbsp
- vinegar - 1 Tbsp
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- paprika - 1/2 tsp
- garlic powder - 1/4 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- soy sauce - 1 tsp
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- Worcestershire - 1 tsp
- potatoes, cubed - 6 item
- large bay leaf - 1 item
- carrots, cubed
- stew meat, cubed - 2 lb
How to make beef stew:
Brown meat in hot oil. Add other ingredients. Cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally. Remove bay leaf. May be thickened by mixing 1/4 cup cold water and 2 tablespoons flour, then adding to stew. Simmer 5 minutes more.Recipe categories: Main dish, Beef, Stew.
