Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 Tbsp
- paprika - 1/2 tsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 tsp
- clove garlic - 1 item
- carrots - 6 item
- potatoes - 4 item
- beef cubes - 2 lb
- medium onion, sliced - 1 item
- dash of allspice or cloves - 1 item
- or 2 bay leaves - 1 item
How to make beef stew:
Brown meat in 2 tablespoons shortening. Add 2 cups hot water and next 9 ingredients. Cover and simmer for 1 1/2 hours. Remove bay leaves and garlic. Add vegetables; cover and cook 30 to 45 minutes.Recipe categories: Main dish, Beef, Stew.
