  • sugar - 1 Tbsp
  • flour - 2 Tbsp
  • chopped celery - 3/4 c
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • large onions - 2 item
  • large can tomatoes - 1 item
  • cut up beef stew, round, chuck - 3 lb
  • carrots and potatoes as many as you like - 1 item

How to make beef roast:

Dissolve the sugar and flour in the tomato juice. Put meat and vegetables in casserole or covered baking dish. Pour tomatoes, flour and sugar over meat and cook covered for 5 hours at 250°.
