Shrimp creole
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 6 Tbsp
- butter - 4 Tbsp
- oil - 1 Tbsp
- hot water - 1/2 c
- chopped celery - 1 c
- chopped onions - 1 c
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- chopped green onions - 1/2 c
- juice of 1 lemon
- bay leaves - 4 item
- chopped bell pepper - 1 c
- cloves chopped garlic - 6 item
- peeled, deveined shrimp - 3 lb
How to make shrimp creole:
In a heavy pot, melt butter. Add oil. Saute all seasonings until done (approximately 5 minutes). Add flour and blend well. Add tomato sauce, hot water and sugar. Cook over medium heat approximately 30 minutes. Season to taste. Add shrimp. Cook 30 minutesRecipe categories: Seafood, Shellfish, Shrimp.
