  • brisket - 6 lb
  • liquid smoke - 3 Tbsp
  • garlic powder - 1 item
  • onion salt - 1 item
  • celery salt - 1 item
  • salt and pepper - 1 item
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 item
  • catsup
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • brown sugar - 1/4 c
  • celery seed - 1 tsp
  • water - 2 c
  • vinegar - 1/4 c
  • onion, chopped - 1 item

How to make beef brisket:

Sauce:1 c. catsup1 tsp. salt1/4 c. brown sugar1 tsp. celery seed1/4 c. Worcestershire sauce2 c. water1/4 c. vinegar1 onion, chopped Sauce: Boil 15 minutes and set aside.

Sprinkle brisket with 3 tablespoons liquid smoke, garlic powder, onion salt and celery salt and let stand overnight in refrigerator. Sprinkle with salt and pepper; brush with Worcestershire sauce. Cover and bake 5 hours in 275° oven. Drain grease. Add cooked sauce and bake one hour uncovered; cool and slice.
